Advanced Air Systems I & II
This 2-day Training will include:
Combining knowledge and skills acquired Advanced Air Systems I & Advanced Air Systems II. Students will learn to evaluate HVAC System test results, prescribe solutions, and direct corrective actions to improve efficiency and performance of HVAC Equipment and Systems. Theory and Lab instruction on live operating HVAC equipment. Attendees will be instructed and use state of the art Test & Balance instruments.
Day 1 Training will include:
- Review of test instrument and procedures
- Review Air flow test procedures
- Procedures of testing VAV and Zone Systems
- Uses of Fan laws, Fan speed adjustments, and Drive changes
- Application of several methods of total system balancing
- Perform HVAC System Test & Balance
- Provide HVAC System Test & Balance report
Day 2 Training will include:
- Review HVAC Equipment and System BTU calculations
- Review provided HVAC System Performance report forms
- Review system design fundamentals (Duct sizing, Airflow standards, Fan Capacities, etc.)
- Review case studies of actual HVAC Performance Testing projects
- Evaluate test results and reporting recommendations of system performance improvements
- Identify HVAC Equipment & System renovations, repairs, & replacement opportunities developed from HVAC Performance Testing Services
Instructor: Jeff Gaumer, has 36 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with 24 years exclusively in HVAC Test & Balance.
