Designed for those who have completed the Audio Engineering course (NCMI57) or for experienced home studio owners, this 4-week course focuses on essential mixing concepts using real world examples. Taught at the NHTunes recording studio in Manchester's Millyard, students will participate in actual mixing sessions to gain experience and knowledge in a variety musical genres, from voice to full band recordings.
Note: Prospective students that have not completed the Audio Engineering course (NCMI57) are expected to understand the concepts and application of compression, EQ, gating, time-based and modulation effects, and the entire signal path including the use of insert vs. send routing.

Bob Desmarais owns and runs NHTunes, A 1,800+ sq ft studio located in the Waumbec Mill which specializes in audio recording and piano, voice, and guitar lessons. A member of the Audio Engineering Society, Bob has been playing guitar professionally for nearly thirty years, and has been recording bands and soloists for nearly a decade. He currently performs in the acoustic duo Sonic Boomers. He has an MBA from SNHU, and a Guitar Certificate from Berklee College of Music.
