Learn how to organize material for a professional setting by composing business memos, emails, outlines, reports, and proposals using the ABC method.

NCMI82M Audio Engineering & Mixing Externship 1

The Audio Engineering Certificate is an ideal introductory program for those considering a career in audio. This non-credit certificate program prepares students for traditional study at a four-year university, or allows them to gain real-world experience in a modern recording studio, so they may apply for paid internships at studios or perhaps open their own recording studio. The program blends class time with an externship program to give students real-world experience in a modern recording facility.

36 hours of time spent at NHTunes recording studio in Manchester's Millyard. Students learn the in's and out's of running a music studio, and shadow on mixing and recording sessions.

Externship applicants must go through an interview process before being accepted into the externship program.

Supervisory Skills for the Industrial Workplace

In this course, you’ll focus on two things: learning how to move through your program and an introductory lesson to your Supervisory Skills program.

In your first lesson, you’ll develop the necessary skills to ensure your success in the program. You’ll learn how you can improve your study skills, so you’re able to use a number of tools that will help you to be successful.

In your second lesson, you’ll learn more background on a supervisor’s roles and responsibilities. This includes an overview of effective leadership and identifying responsibilities and potential challenges or opportunities that might appear in the role.

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to do the following:

  •  Identify skills needed to be a confident and independent online learner
  • Define the significance of a supervisor, including key opportunities available in the industrial sectors
